Fresh and refreshing, this was a great first sip. Apples and pears marry together in a way that is easy to drink. Even a little hint of citrus gives it a kick. Feeling light on my palate, this was perfect for a warm day or casual get-together with friends.

This paired really well with some grilled chicken and a simple salad. The wine at no time overpowered the food, which I liked; I do think it might struggle with spicier dishes, though. What I really wouldn’t recommend is pairing this wine with anything too bold: spicy tacos, Indian curry.

Overall, this is a light and fun wine-not going to blow any minds with complexity, and that’s just fine. It’s a fun wine for any Vanderpump Rules fan and really anyone looking for ease in a bottle for just hanging out. Witches of WeHo wine, started by Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, and Katie Maloney-Schwartz back in 2019, struggled to make ends meet due to personal conflicts between them and controversies over their behavior. The brand was also pulled off the shelves temporarily in June 2020 after Stassi and Kristen had gotten fired from the show Vanderpump Rules when it came out that the pair had falsely accused one of their co-stars of a criminal offense. However, in 2023, the wine returned courtesy of Kristen and Katie, while Stassi opted out of that venture.

Today, Witches of WeHo is run by Kristen Doute and Katie Maloney-Schwartz. Since the original falling out and departure from the brand of Stassi, the other founders have gotten to work with the re-release and promo of their wines on the lineup, which also includes the highly in-demand Pinot Grigio.

The friendship within the Witches of WeHo has been up and down. While Kristen and Katie still link up through the wine business, Kristen has stated that her relationship with Stassi went back into more of an acquaintance phase. They’re friendly with each other, though, but not as tight as they were once upon a time.
